Fri goes by then the weekend and then Monday come up.im sitting in my living room with my kid discussing what to get for lunch.phone rings.guy says her its George from VW dealership part came in cars fixed and ready to go.doesnt that seem odd ? Parts didnt know they would get the part Fri or Mon? 1 or 3 days earlier?Ģ weeks after the Atlas is fixed the VW customer Care rep calls me and says sotty about the Atlas again we still have no time on parts arrival and dont know when it will be when it gets fixed.im like.Mam, its been fixed now for almost 2 weeks.she pauses and says.oh.ok. I stop in on lets say Thurs the 1st of any month and ask.anything new on the harness? they say let me look.they type a bit on their computer and then make a phone call back to parts.he hangs up phone and says.nothing yet.nothing from parts either.Im like.ok thanks for checking i was passing by and figured id check. We decided to see what happens here long term with it(next month is a year owning it) and see if any other issues crop up so far nothing has.hope it stays that way.įunniest part about it is the literal LACK OF COMMUNICATION at any level at VW USA between dealerships, parts vendors, VW customer care.I mean dont you find it odd that I can go in on(just making up dates now but its the sequence and close timeframe that just seems bizarre to me that "no one knew ANYTHING thats going on". Since the harness fix its been 100% and we love it actually. I really still think them giving us the long term loaner after us requesting it and saying we didnt think it was safe with the airbag issue and all.was what saved them.for us at least as a customer.had the balked at the rental or we were STILL sitting around waiting for a part since last November.I dont think we would be current VW customers and id never buy another one. ![]() ![]() Click to expand.We had decided that since this was our first VW ever and every now and then a vehicle has a issue(we have never in owning cars since 1985 had a recall/issue like this to deal with so its all new to us)so we would see how VW and the VW dealership handled it.at first I was ready to ditch it.they knew something was wrong, they didnt know how or have the parts to fix it.so we got the yuo sorry its broke bye type deal.then as it moved on they figured out what specifically was wrong they ordered the part.but it kept getting worse(the vehicle/Atlas and how often it would act up) so finally I went in and told the wife.this will decide if we ask for a buyback or trade it on something else(if its even tradable at this point).went in said.since you dont know when this harness will come in, its getting so its doing this all the time(acting up the whole plethora of stuff they do when they act up) its now daily.AND it effects the airbags and we dont feel its safe anymore.id like a loaner.they said they would see what they can do but they had to jump through a few hoops.supposedly they were supposed to try to find a VW loaner if at all available.well they found us one and later that day they called me said you can bring us your Atlas and pick up the long term rental at _.
